The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is pleased to welcome Aaron Preston as the Education Director of the new facility. Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, Preston comes to the Heritage Center from the State of Michigan Historical Museum with an annual visitation of over 150,000, where he served as a Museum Educator since 1997.
Aaron’s principle responsibilities will include planning, implementation and oversight of the Heritage Center’s public and educational programming to include traveling exhibitions and educational curriculum to enhance the permanent exhibits. Aaron will also oversee the Turkey Creek School living history program and work towards a more engaging interpretive program for Humphrey Heritage Village.
